Allenby

Allenby is an established North Toronto neighbourhood known for being a safe and family-centered area that puts a strong emphasis and value on community. With its beautiful tree-lined streets and charming Tudor-style homes, it’s easy to see why it’s such a sought-after place to live.

Allenby is a great place to call home, especially for young families. The area’s primary school, Allenby Public School, carries an excellent reputation of being one of the top schools in North Toronto, boasting a great student curriculum, excellent teachers, and well-rounded school programs, including a fantastic French immersion program.

Along Eglinton Avenue, you can find everything from restaurants and local coffee shops to banks and bookstores, which means that the people that live here never need to go far to find a great cup of coffee or for an evening out with friends.

Just west of the neighbourhood you’ll find Allen Road and Highway 401, both of which provide an easy route out of the city for those who have cottages up north. Eglinton Station, on the Yonge subway line, is also just a few minutes away to take you downtown or across the city.

Allenby real estate is highly sought-after, and it’s not that easy to come by, as the neighbourhood doesn’t see a lot of turnover in terms of real estate. Because the homes here are generally older, the overall prices tend to be a little lower than in some of the other North Toronto neighbourhoods.
